    Arturo de Azlor y O´Neill fue un brillante militar español del siglo XIX que ocupó la Capitanía General de Extremadura entre 1857 y 1861. Murió en Badajoz, ocupando dicho cargo. A su figura militar, sobradamente conocida, venimos a añadir y difundir el expediente judicial de su testamentaría, gracias a los trabajos de revisión de documentación llevados a cabo en el Archivo Histórico Provincial de Badajoz que nos ha permitido identificar, clasificar, ordenar y describir un nuevo fondo documental: Capitanía General de Extremadura. Con su última voluntad testamentaria, acogiéndose a la fórmula del testamento militar, nos acercamos al hombre en su faceta más privada y completamos los conocimientos sobre su biografía

    Arturo de Azlor y O’Neill was a brilliant 19th-century Spanish soldier who held the Captaincy General of Extremadura between 1857 and 1861. He died in Badajoz, holding that position. To his well-known military figure, we come to add and disseminate the legal proceedings of his testament thanks to the documentation review work carried out in the Archive of Rare and Historical Manuscripts of Badajoz that has allowed us to identify, classify, order and describe a new documentary collection: Captaincy General of Extremadura. With his last testamentary will, invoking the military testament formula, we approach the man in his most private side and complete the knowledge about his biography
