Resumen de Las parias pagadas a Castilla por la taifa aftasí de Badajoz

El presente texto tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre las parias, este pago anual que se realizaba en moneda por parte de un poder musulmán a otro cristiano bajo coacción militar en la Península Ibérica a cambio de un cese de las hostilidades o el mantenimiento de una situación de paz, que abonó la taifa aftasí de Badajoz al reino de Castilla durante la segunda mitad del siglo XI.
Tras presentar una definición de parias y una panorámica general del fenómeno durante el siglo XI, pasamos a analizar los pagos concretos que realizó Badajoz, sirviéndonos de un texto de Ibn Idari que relata un encuentro entre al-Muzaffar de Badajoz y Fernando I de Castilla cerca de Santarem y otras fuentes. Por último, analizamos cómo se pudo invertir el dinero que captó Castilla como parias durante el siglo X

The purpose of this text is to analyze the parias, this annual payment made in currency by a Muslim power to another Christian under military duress in the Iberian Peninsula in exchange for a cessation of hostilities or the maintenance of a situation of peace that paid the aftasí taifa of Badajoz to the kingdom of Castile during the second half of the 11th century. After presenting a definition of parias and an overview of the phenomenon during the eleventh century, we went on analyzing the specific payments made by Badajoz, using a text by Ibn Idari that recounts a meeting between al-Muzaffar from Badajoz and Fernando I of Castilla near Santarem and other sources. Finally, we analyze how the money that Castilla captured as parias during the 11th century could have been invested.
