    El objetivo de esta investigación es el análisis de la iconografía del General Menacho, y especialmente la creación del artista Salvador Amaya. Se valora por su calidad, relevancia y repercusión y por ser la primera colaboración de escultura pública de Amaya con Ferrer-Dalmau, en la actualidad los dos máximos referentes en arte histórico-militar.

    Tras realizar un catálogo y somero análisis de los antecedentes iconográficos de Menacho, se repasa la trayectoria del escultor así como las circunstancias del encargo, el proceso de ejecución e instalación de la pieza escultórica y, por último, se analizan sus valores estilísticos

    The objective of this research is the analysis of the iconography of General Menacho, focused on the creation of the artist Salvador Amaya. It is valued for its quality, relevance and impact and for being Amaya’s first public sculpture collaboration with Ferrer-Dalmau, currently the two greatest references in historical-military art.

    After carrying out a catalog and shallow analysis of Menacho’s iconographic background, the sculptor’s trajectory - of which this work will be the first study - is reviewed, as well as the circumstances of the commission, the process of execution and installation of the sculptural piece and analyzed its stylistic values.
