En la actualidad las sociedades experimentan complejos procesos de transformación, uno de ellos es el reconocimiento de los grupos vulnerables con capacidades diferentes y la incorporación de objetivos en planes y programas que propicien su participación en igualdad de condiciones. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la situación actual de la señalética de orientación turística para personas con discapacidad visual colocada en el centro histórico de la ciudad de San Luis Potosí como parte de la estrategia para un turismo inclusivo y accesible por parte de la Secretaria de Turismo del Estado. El método un análisis basado en criterios de prospección in situ, que van desde el reconocimiento del estado físico, la localización planimétrica, la información que ofrece, el recorrido que sigue y su funcionalidad. La discusión plantea una reflexión sobre la efectividad de la señalética turística, la forma en cómo se presenta y se accede a la información, así como su funcionalidad ante el Covid19 que afecta el entorno urbano, al restringir el contacto con objetos de uso público en espacios abiertos, lo que reduce o condiciona la funcionalidad y el soporte que brinda a las actividades turísticas. Los resultados exponen la necesidad de una revisión de la implementación y efectividad de las estrategias y actuaciones en materia de accesibilidad en el centro histórico, lo que hace necesario plantear una evaluación que forme parte de las políticas y planes de gestión de manejo sobre las acciones para el turismo accesible en los centros históricos.

At present, societies undergo complex transformation processes, one of them is the recognition of vulnerable groups with different capacities and the incorporation of objectives in plans and programs that promote their participation under equal conditions. The objective of this research is to analyze the current situation of tourist orientation signage for people with visual disabilities placed in the historic center of the city of San Luis Potosí as part of the strategy for inclusive and accessible tourism by the Secretary of State Tourism. The method is an analysis based on in situ prospecting criteria, ranging from the recognition of the physical state, the planimetric location, the information it offers, the route it follows and its functionality. The discussion raises a reflection on the effectiveness of tourist signage, the way in which information is presented and accessed, as well as its functionality in the face of Covid19 that affects the urban environment, by restricting contact with objects for public use in spaces open, which reduces or conditions the functionality and support provided to tourist activities. The results expose the need for a review of the implementation and effectiveness of strategies and actions in the area of accessibility in the historic center, which makes it necessary to propose an evaluation that is part of the management policies and management plans on the actions to accessible tourism in historic centers.
