Philosophical thought addresses the different relational aspects between two artistic and creative spheres that by their very nature converge. Presenting those points in common and creative-representative links throughout history, the philosophy delves into the basic and fundamental elements of the two artistic branches, providing support and specific argumentation that allows their expression and understanding. The two creative languages converge and coexist consubstantially thanks to the socio-cultural contexts that provide uniqueness and the creation of a unique language. Pictorial art and music converge in the creative work of many authors, allowing for closer ties and broadening the horizons of these disciplines without prejudice to any of them. Synesthesia, as a neurological phenomenon, has been a source of artistic creation, allowing the transformation and decoding of sounds into visual images, founded and sustained under an intricate system of relationships of temporality, specialty, perception, emotion, meaning, semantics and expectation.
