Sol, i de dol (1947) de J.V. Foix és un llibre modern i fet des d’un coneixement important de la poesia medieval, palès en les citacions i també en la recreació ben original de Petrarca, March i Jordi de Sant Jordi. Aquest article vol demostrar que la primera configuració del volum de Sol, i de dol (amb seccions, títols i epígrafs) es produí el 1935-36, o poc abans, i que l’operació medievalitzant no deu ser anterior a 1928. En segon lloc, afegeix algunes consideracions sobre els mecanoscrits i les vicissituds del volum entre 1936 i 1938.

Sol, i de dol(1947) by J.V. Foix is a modern book that shows the important knowledgethe author had of medieval poetry. The quotations of medieval poetry as well as the recreation ofPetrarch, March and Jordi de Sant Jordi prove it. This article aims to demonstrate that the configu-ration of the book (with sections and quotations) took place in 1935-1936 or previously and thatthe medieval recreation might have started in 1928, but not before. Secondly, the article includessome considerations regarding the typescript and its vicissitudes between 1936 and 1938.
