    El presente artículo busca mediante una mirada crítica, inspirada en los estudios del filósofo francés Henry Lefebvre, analizar la conformación de los asentamientos informales en Chile, a partir de la teoría de la producción del espacio. Por esto, se realiza un análisis historiográfico de los distintos periodos de formación de los asentamientos informales en el país y su vínculo con el patrón de acumulación económico que prima en dicho momento.

    The present article seeks, through a critical look, inspired by the studies of the French philosopher Henry Lefebvre, to analyze the conformation of the informal settlements in Chile, from the theory of the production of space. For this reason, a historiographic analysis of the different periods of formation of informal settlements in the country and their link with the pattern of economic accumulation that prevails at that time is carried out.
