In today's complex world of information and technology it is important that hospitality management students develop the ability to locate, sort, process, and utilize the appropriate information to be successful in the hospitality industry. A course based on an interdisciplinary pedagogy that requires students to synthesize information from several subject areas was developed. Student evaluations indicated that the course was successful in helping students focus and evaluate issues and topics from a variety of perspectives, and to synthesize results.
