Resumen de Adaptaciones curriculares para estudiantes con necesidades educativas especiales

  Se investiga las adaptaciones curriculares y el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes con Necesidades Educativas Especiales, Asociadas o no a una Discapacidad en la Universidad Técnica de Ambato, como línea de base, previa a la implementación de metodologías innovadoras para su formación sistémica y holística. El problema de la investigación radica en una formación homogeneizante, como si todos los estudiantes aprendieran lo mismo, de la misma manera y al mismo tiempo. Los objetivos consisten en determinar: el grado de adaptación curricular predominante, los elementos del currículo a los que se aplican las adaptaciones curriculares y el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes considerados en la muestra para el pilotaje. Se utilizó un diseño no experimental, de tipo transversal descriptivo. Para indagar el grado de las adaptaciones curriculares, se administró un cuestionario a cincuenta estudiantes con NEE; y, para establecer el rendimiento académico se realizó un estudio documental piloto de once estudiantes con NEE, seleccionados mediante muestreo no probabilístico intencional y por decisión de expertos. Existe evidencia de que las adaptaciones curriculares no significativas se realizan de manera incipiente y que el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes con discapacidad auditiva e intelectual es menor al promedio.

  The curricular adaptations and the academic performance of students with Special Educational Needs, Associated or not with a Disability at the Technical University of Ambato, are investigated, as a baseline, prior to the implementation of innovative methodologies for their systemic and holistic training. The problem of research lies in a homogenizing formation, as if all students learned the same thing, in the same way and at the same time. The objectives are to determine: the degree of predominant curricular adaptation, the elements of the curriculum to which the curricular adaptations are applied and the academic performance of the students considered in the sample for piloting. A non-experimental, cross-descriptive design was used. To investigate the degree of curricular adaptations, a questionnaire was administered to fifty students with SEN; and, to establish the academic performance, a pilot documentary study of eleven students with SEN was carried out, selected by intentional non-probabilistic sampling and by experts' decision. There is evidence that non-significant curricular adaptations are made in an incipient manner and that the academic performance of students with hearing and intellectual disabilities is below average.
