    Este trabalho começa com uma aproximaçom da obra de Ricardo Carvalho Calero, que agrupamos em três dimensões: conhecedor, construtor e planificador do idioma. A seguir, analisa-se o peso deste autor no desenvolvimento da orientaçom lusista ao longo dos anos setenta e no surgimento do próprio movimento reintegracionista nos oitenta. Percorreremos depois as múltiplas páginas que nos deixou relativas à fixaçom do código, desde os primeiros anos setenta até os últimos da sua vida. Concluiremos analisando a evoluçom do reintegracionismo desde a etapa carvalhana até a atualidade, nomeadamente no relativo ao gradualismo que propunha o grande pensador deste movimento.

    This paper begins with an approach to Carvalho Calero’s linguistic work by classifying it in three dimensions: Carvalho as the language expert, builder and planner. Subsequently, the importance of this author for the development of the lusist orientation of the Galician language in the 1970s and in the emergence of the reintegrationist movement itself in the 1980s is assessed. His many contributions on the establishing of the codification, from the 1970s until the end of his life, will also be examined. Finally, the evolution of reintegrationism will be analysed from his time up to the present, specifically regarding the reintegrationist gradualism proposed by the great thinker of this movement.
