    Presentamos los trabajos arqueológicos, llevados a cabo durante las campañas de excavación de 2016 y 2019 en el Sector 2 del Castellar d'Alcoi (Alicante), enmarcados en el proyecto “El hîṣn islámico del Castellar d´Alcoi”. Los resultados de las intervenciones han sacado a la luz un conjunto defensivo de finales del siglo X y principios del siglo XI.

    This paper presents the results of the excavations carried out during the 2016 and 2019 campaigns at Sector 2 site of Castellar de Alcoy (Alcoy, Alicante), which were part of the project “El hîṣn islàmic del Castellar d’Alcoi”. The results of these excavations have unearthed a defensive complex dated between the end of the 10th and the beginning of the 11th century.
