En el presente estudio presentamos la relación entre la Orden de Predicadores, especialmente entre su convento de Santa Catalina virgen y mártir de Barcelona, y la Universidad de Cervera en el siglo XVIII. Para ello nos centraremos en tres puntos: el número de cátedras concedidas a aquella orden en propiedad y los problemas que a lo largo del siglo dicha concesión generó, los catedráticos que las ocuparon y algunos otros rasgos de su aportación al centro universitario.

The Dominicans of the convent of Santa Catalina virgen y martir de Barcelona and the University of Cervera in the 18th century. In the present article we present the relationship between the Order of Preachers, especially between the priory of Santa Catalina virgin and martyr of Barcelona, and the University of Cervera long the 18th century. To develop the topic, we will focus on three arguments: the number of university chairs awarded to that order and the problems that the concession generated, the professors who occupied them and some other features of the contribution to the academic center.
