Las transformaciones a partir de la migración y la globalización, son elementos que definen el modo de vida en las regiones rurales de México. Así se da muestra de ello a través de la experiencia en la fiesta de Xantolo o día de muertos en la región Huasteca Sur de San Luis Potosí. Dicha festividad es la de mayor relevancia regional y en donde pueden vislumbrarse elementos que se transforman en el ritual y así mismo en la vida de la región. Esta etnografía retrata dicha experiencia partir de la mirada de la etnia nahua y la población mestiza.

Transformations based on migration and globalization are elements that define the way of life in rural regions of Mexico. This is demonstrated by the experience at the Xantolo party or day of the dead in the Huasteca Sur region of San Luis Potosí. This holiday is the most regionally relevant and where you can glimpse elements that become the ritual and also in the life of the region. This ethnography portrays this experience from the gaze of the Nahua ethnic group and the mestizo population.
