Resumen de Complicaciones tromboembólicas por sars-cov-2. A propósito de un caso.

  La pandemia mundial que estamos viviendo con el COVID-19 hace que tengamos que presentar espe-cial atención a las complicaciones que se derivan del mismo. Cobra importancia en este sentido la respuesta infl amatoria sistémica y sus consecuencias. Las complicaciones pueden ir desde una trom-bosis venosa profunda (TVP) a una trombosis arterial aguda debido a estos estados de hipercoagulabilidad que produce el virus; los cuales se ven refl ejados en los reactantes de fase aguda como son la ferritina, el dimero D y el fi brinógeno. Para evitar este tipo de complicaciones que aumentan la morbimortalidad es imprescindible establecer protocolos comunes donde prime la monitorización de estos reactantes y el uso de heparinas.

  COVID-19 has become a pandemic that threatens the worldwide population and which is encouraging the medical professionals to pay special attention not only to the disease itself but to all the complications developing from it too. That is why the acute immune response and its consequences are worth for a special mention. These complications have a broad spectrum, going from a deep venous thrombosis to an acute arte-rial thrombosis, all of them related with the produced hypercoagulability changes. These variations are re-fl ected in the acute phase reagents as the ferritine, D-dimer and fi brinogen. Therefore, to avoid the increased morbility and mortality caused by them it is crucial to stablish protocols and algorithms in which the control of the reagents and the treatment with heparins will be a priority.
