    Un sistema judicial garantista de los derechos humanos obliga a que el Estado se organice sobre un régimen de separación de poderes en el que se consolide un poder judicial independiente e imparcial. Sin embargo, sigue constituyendo un reto ineludible y formidable por varias razones estructurales.

    En este trabajo pretendemos realizar algunas consideraciones sobre la independencia e imparcialidad de los jueces internacionales europeos; así, con este propósito examinaremos las prevenciones existentes en el ámbito internacional europeo para garantizar la independencia e imparcialidad del Tribunal Europeo de Derechos Humanos. Y, como segunda cuestión, se harán algunas reflexiones sobre relaciones entre los tribunales nacionales y el Tribunal de Estrasburgo

    A judicial system that guarantees human rights requires the State to establish a separation of powers regime on which to consolidate an independent and impartial judicial power. However, it remains an inescapable and formidable challenge for various structural reasons.

    In this work we try to make some considerations about the independence and impartiality of the European international judges; Thus, for this purpose, we will examine the existing European international preventions to guarantee the independence and impartiality of the European Court of Human Rights, analyzing the selection procedure. And, as a second question, some reflections will be made on relations between the national courts and the Court of Strasbourg
