    • Social media is a buzzword and its impact on human behaviour is being widely studied. This paper is based on a study carried out to understand the impact of social media on the choice of tourist destinations by University students. The study is very clear on the fact that social media does have a considerable impact on the choice of tourist destinations among the University students. Though not conclusive, a couple of demographic variables are important in the context of the impact of social media on the choice of tourist destinations as found from the detailed investigation of selected demographic variables.
