El autor, a través de la relectura de Tácito y de la documentación epigráfica aporta algunas correcciones a las tesis aportadas hasta el momento por los diversos estudiosos que se han ocupado de los acontecimientos vividos en Roma con motivo de la muerte de Germánico y de los diversos ss.cc. decretados para honrar su memoria, incluyendo también algunas interpretaciones originales. Por otra parte, la reciente publicación de la Tabula Perusina le ha permitido confirmar o rechazar algunas de las restituciones propias y extrañas sugeridas en la parte inicial (relatio, sententia) de la Tabula Siarensis.

The author, through the rereading of Tacitus and the epigraphic documentation, provides some corrections to the thesis contributed so far by the various scholars who have dealt with the events lived in Rome on the occasion of Germánicus' death and the various ss.cc. decreed to honor his memory, including also some original interpretations. On the other hand, the recent publication of the Tabula Perusina has allowed him to confirm or reject some of the own and other people's opinions suggested for the lost inicial part (relatio. sententia) of the Tabula Siarensis.
