    El síndrome de Mounier Kuhn es una patología infrecuente de la vía aérea de causa idiopática con una presentación clínica heterogénea. Se caracteriza por una dilatación anómala de tráquea y bronquios. Se presenta el caso de un hombre de 53 años con in-fecciones respiratorias a repetición que se ingresa por esputos hemoptoicos. Los hallazgos en la Tomografía Computarizada Multidetector (TCMD) fueron compati-bles con una traqueobroncomegalia asociada a divertí-culos y bronquiectasias parahiliares. El tratamiento de esta entidad es sintomático, incluyendo la fisioterapia respiratoria, el manejo de secreciones, la antibiotera-pia oportuna y el uso de broncodilatadores.

    Mounier Kuhn syndrome is an infrequent idio-pathic pathology of the airway with a heterogeneous clinical presentation. It is characterized by an abnormal dilation of the trachea and bronchi. We present a case of a 53-year-old man with repeated respiratory infec-tions that was admitted because of hemoptoic sputum. The Multidetector Computed Tomography (MDCT) fin-dings were compatible with tracheobroncomegaly as-sociated with diverticula and parahilar bronchiectasis. The treatment of this entity is symptomatic, including respiratory physiotherapy, secretion management, ti-mely antibiotic therapy, and the use of bronchodilators.
