Resumen de Las versiones hispánicas de la leyenda artúrica: El manuscrito castellano de Lanzarote del Lago

El siguiente artículo trata de analizar la versión hispánica de Lanzarote, en concreto una copia de un manuscrito castellano perteneciente al siglo XV. Lanzarote del Lago narra las aventuras del caballero del rey Arturo que recibe dicho nombre, así como de otros personajes pertenecientes a la Mesa Redonda. Los escasos testimonios de la presencia de la materia artúrica durante el siglo XII sirven como base para la creación de este artículo, que trata de indagar sobre la expansión de la materia de Bretaña desde su origen francés hasta su difusión en el territorio español medieval.

The present work aims to analyse the Spanish version of Lancelot based on a copy of a Castilian manuscript which belongs to the XV century. Lanzarote del Lago summarises the adventures of Lancelot, the Arthurian knight and also the ones of the other characters attached to the Round Table. As there is little evidence about the matter of Britain presence in the Spanish territory during the XII century, this article explores a variety of theories about the expansion of the Arthurian literature in France and how it was developed in Spain.
