El término «metafísica» en la tradición sirio–árabe

    Los estudios sobre la constitución de la noción y el término «metafísica» han sido poco abordados por la historia de la filosofía, y sobre todo, por la tradición filosófica misma. Este trabajo, sobre la base de lo realizado por Pérez Fernández (1975), es una parte de una serie de publicaciones que pretende arrojar luz sobre este proceso. Concretamente, en esta parte, primero describiré algunos aspectos histórico-filológicos del término de «metafísica» en la tradición siriaca y luego me centraré en analizar ciertos aspectos filológico-filosóficos de este término en la tradición árabe, tomando como referencia algunos de sus libros clásicos, e.g., el Kitab al–fihrist de Ibn al–Nadim. Sobre esta base, como se podrá observar al final del trabajo, se podrá comprender el valor de la labor de traducción y transmisión del conocimiento en la tradición sirio–árabe, y por tanto, inferir que el acontecer del término «metafísica» en esta tradición tiene una influencia directa en la configuración latina del término «metafísica».

    Studies on the evolution of the notion and the term "metaphysics" have been scarcely addressed by the history of philosophy, and specially, by the philosophical tradition itself. This work, based on what was done by Pérez Fernández (1975), is part of a series of writings that aims to shed light on this process. Specifically, in this part, I will first describe some historical-philological aspects of the term "metaphysics" in the Syriac tradition and then I will focus on analyzing certain philological-philosophical aspects of this term in the Arab tradition, taking as reference some of its classic books, eg, the Kitab al-fihrist of Ibn al-Nadim. On this basis, as will be seen at the end of this writing, it would be possible to understand the value of the work of translation and transmission of knowledge in the Syrian-Arab tradition, and therefore, to infer that the occurrence of the term "metaphysics" in this tradition has a direct influence on the Latin configuration of the term "metaphysics".
