    Starting from the correspondence between Trần Đức Thảo and Ferruccio Rossi-Landi, and other archival records, this contribution sets out some yet unexplored convergences of the Vietnamese philosopher’s Researches and the Italian semiotician’s theory of homology amongst linguistic production and material production. Additionally, we will explore/discuss Valentin Vološinov’s project for a dialectical materialistic semiotics. The analysis of these convergences opens the way to study the social practice of both linguistic and material work as the driving force of hominization and social reproduction.

    À partir de la correspondance entre Trần Đức Thảo et Ferruccio Rossi-Landi et d’autres documents d’archives, notre contribution explicitera les convergences jusqu’ici inexplorées des Recherches du philosophe vietnamien avec la théorie du sémioticien italien sur l’homologie de la production linguistique et de la production matérielle, ainsi qu’avec les jalons jetés par Valentin Vološinov pour une sémiotique matérialiste-dialectique, développée par leurs réflexions autour de la pratique sociale du travail linguistique et matériel comme moteur de l’hominisation et de la reproduction sociale.
