Existe associação entre comportamento alimentar, estado nutricional e tempo de prática de Zumba fitness?

      Introduction: A change to a healthy lifestyle can occur in different ways, but it is essential characterized by eating habits and by adopting regular of physical activity practice. Objective: To identify the profile of the nutritional status associated with eating habits / behaviors of a group of individuals practicing Zumba fitness. Methods:  A cross-sectional study was carried out between September and October 2017, with an anthropometric evaluation in conjunction with the application of a questionnaire regarding dietary behavior and the history of zumba fitness practice. For the statistical analyzes, the tests of Shapiro Wilk, ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis and Spearman were applied. Results: A total of 56 participants were evaluated, with a mean age of 37.6 years. It was observed that 48% presented nutritional status of overweight, 36% of obesity and only 16% with eutrophy. Regarding eating behavior, 28,6% presented cognitive restriction, 32,1% lack of food and 19,6% had emotional feeding. There was a significant difference (p<0,05) when comparing food behavior patterns. Conclusion: It was observed that the eating behavior is influenced by age, the younger women had cognitive restriction, however the older ones presented emotional feeding. In addition, the vast majority of participants are overweight, with the main concern of the group related to emotional eating.

      Introdução: A mudança para um estilo de vida saudável, pode ocorrer de diferentes maneiras, mas é principalmente caracterizada pela alteração de hábitos alimentares e pela adoção da prática regular de atividade física. Objetivo: Identificar o perfil do estado nutricional associado aos hábitos/comportamento alimentar de um grupo de indivíduos praticantes de zumba fitness. Métodos: Estudo transversal realizado no período de setembro a outubro de 2017, com avaliação antropométrica em conjunto com a aplicação de um questionário referente ao comportamento alimentar e o histórico da prática de zumba fitness. Para as análises estatísticas, foram aplicados os testes de Shapiro Wilk, ANOVA, Kruskal-wallis e Spearman.  Resultados: Foram avaliadas 56 participantes, com idade média de 37,6 anos. Observou-se que 48% apresentaram estado nutricional de sobrepeso, 36% de obesidade e somente 16% com eutrofia. Em relação ao comportamento alimentar 28,6% apresentaram restrição cognitiva, 32,1% descontrole alimentar e 19,6% alimentação emocional. Sendo que houve diferença significativa (p<0,05) ao comparar os padrões de comportamento alimentar. Conclusão: Foi observado que o comportamento alimentar é influenciado pela idade, as mulheres mais jovens possuíam restrição cognitiva, no entanto as mais velhas apresentaram alimentação emocional.  Além disso, a grande maioria das participantes estão acima do peso, tendo como principal preocupação o grupo relacionado a alimentação emocional. ABSTRACT There is an association between eating behaviour, nutritional status, and time of practice of zumba fitness?Introduction: A change to a healthy lifestyle can occur in different ways, but it is essential characterized by eating habits and by adopting regular of physical activity practice.
