    En España hay un aumento del número de trasplantes renales cada año. Es por ello que, como profesionales sanitarios, debemos tener unos conocimientos sobre la vivencia de las personas que han sufrido un trasplante renal y éste ha resultado fallido por lo que deben reiniciar la terapia sustitutiva que realizaban anteriormente. Este relato biográfico nos lleva a comprender mejor la percepción de un paciente diagnosticado de enfermedad renal crónica terminal (ERCT) tras un injerto renal fallido con el fin de ofrecer una mejor atención holística a personas que están en la misma situación, a empatizar y ofrecer un trato al paciente que logre su bienestar en la reincorporación al tratamiento de hemodiálisis. En el relato nos cuenta su experiencia personal desde el diagnostico de la enfermedad hasta el reinicio de la hemodiálisis tras el fallo del injerto.

    Spain has experienced a steady and constant increase each year in the number of kidney transplants. That is the reason why, as health profes-sionals, we must have some knowledge about the experiences of patients who have undergone an unsuccessful kidney transplant and are forced to restart the replacement therapy. This biographycal dissertation leads us to a better understanding of the perception a patient diagnosed with terminal chronical kidney disease (ERCT) has after a failed renal graft, in order to offer a better holistic care to people in the same situation, to empathize and offer the patients with a personalized care that acomodates them on their return to the hemodialysis treatment. In the memoir the author explain us his personal experience, since the diagnosis in the first place of the disease to the restart of the hemodialysis treatment after the graft failure.
