Resumen de Experiencia vivida por usuarios con diagnóstico de enfermedad afectiva bipolar en grupos psicoeducativos

  Objetivo principal: El presente estudio tiene el propósito de conocer la Experiencia vivida por usuarios con diagnóstico de enfermedad afectiva bipolar que participan en un programa psicoeducativo en un Hospital Regional. Metodología: El enfoque metodológico utilizado es cualitativo descriptivo. Los participantes fueron seleccionados hasta alcanzar la saturación teórica de la información. La recolección de información se efectuó mediante entrevista semiestructurada. Resultados principales: La experiencia psicoeducativa grupal favorece el aprendizaje sobre contenidos relevantes, la aceptación de la enfermedad y su cronicidad. Los entrevistados refieren verse reflejados en otros, sentirse acogidos, querer ayudar y establecer relaciones de amistad con otros usuarios participantes. Se enfatiza la confianza depositada en el equipo de salud, el rol educativo y los conocimientos entregados sobre los psicofármacos. Conclusión principal: Se concluye que la experiencia psicoeducativa grupal corresponde a un suceso significativo para los usuarios entrevistados.

  Objective: The purpose of this study is to know the Experience lived by patients who suffer bipolar disorder and participate in a psychoeducative program carried out in a Regional Hospital. Methods: The focus used is qualitative-descriptive. Patients were sequentially selected until the theoretical saturation information was reached. The information was collected by means of a semi-structured interview carried out until the information theoretical saturation was reached. Results: The findings show that group psychoeducative experience helps learning about significant contents, accepting the disorder and its chronicity. The interviewed patients recognize themselves in others, they feel protected (sheltered). They are willing to help and establish friendly relationships with other participant patients. Confidence on the health team, educative role and knowledge given about pharmacological treatment are emphasized. Conclusions: From this study, we can infer that group psychoeducative experience corresponds to a significative event for the patients interviewed.
