    El mausoleo para el Delfín de Francia es uno de los monumentos más anómalos en la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII. El proceso de creación, que duró doce años, resultó especialmente complejo e interesante, ya que en él participaron algunas de las personalidades más importantes del contexto cultural parisino: entre otros, el filósofo Denis Diderot, autor de los cinco programas iconográficos que Guillaume II Coustou, junto con el diseñador Charles-Nicolás Cochin, tuvo que trabajar.

    The mausoleum for the Dauphin of France is one of the most anomalous monuments in the second half of the 18th century. The 12-years long design process turned to be particularly complicated, and interesting, because some of the most important personalities in the Parisian cultural context were involved: namely, among the others, the philosopher Denis Diderot, the author of the five iconographic programs on which Guillaume II Coustou, together with the draughtsman Charles-Nicolas Cochin, had to work.
