  • Archaeological excavation of a 25 m2 sondage on the eastern side of the dolmen’s funerary chamber.

    The current hypothesis is that the current appearance of the San Sebastián Sur dolmen is the result of prehistoric plans to build a megalithic vault, which was later modified. These changes affected the chamber, passageway and mound. This conclusion is based on details such as the use of two different construction techniques for the chamber walls, the enclosure of said chamber, the different modulus of the slabs and the deliberate burning of the moment
