En un turno de noche en un pequeño hospital, el presente y el pasado se encuentran por unos momentos. Lucía, hija de un paciente que está siendo atendido en la unidad de urgencias reconoce a Carmen, la enfermera que lo cuida. En ese instante el recuerdo de algo acontecido hace tiempo planea por el pasillo ruidoso e infinito y nos trae un relato sobre intervenciones que humanizan la relación clínica. Esa historia ocurrió hace veinte años, cuando Lucía fue ingresada en la planta de Cirugía. Su estancia en el hospital se prolongó demasiado debido a complicaciones tras la intervención quirúrgica que le practicaron. Los días se hacían eternos y se sucedían gravados, además, por la imposibilidad de ver a sus hijos. Una tarde, Carmen ayudó a disminuir esa carga. Trajo a los niños hasta la cuarta planta y su madre pudo abrazarlos después de mucho tiempo

The present and the past crossed for a few moments on the night shift at a small hospital. Lucía was with her father in the emergency room when she recognized Carmen, the nurse who was caring her relative. In that moment, the memory of something that happened long time ago flew to that noisy place bringing us a story about interventions that humanize the clinical relation. This story happened twenty years ago, when Lucía was hospitalized. Her stay at the hospital was too long due to problems in her surgical intervention. Moreover, the days were eternal and heavy because she couldn't see her children. Carmen helped to reduce this burden an afternoon. She brought the kids to the hospital and so Lucía could finally embrace them.
