Resumen de La familia como red de apoyo social en estudiantes universitarios que ingresan a primer semestre

  Tipología textual y objetivo. El presente artículo de investigación tiene como objetivo identificar a la familia como red de apoyo social y determinar su influencia en un grupo de estudiantes universitarios.Metodología. Es de carácter descriptivo con enfoque cualitativo. La muestra estuvo conformada por 10 padres y 10 jóvenes de primer ingreso a la universidad en edades comprendidas entre los 16 y 19 años.Resultados. Los resultados apuntan hacia la configuración de unas buenas relaciones entre los padres y los hijos, aunque prevaleció una diferencia en la percepción de los hijos respecto a la familia como red de apoyo social.Conclusión. De acuerdo con lo anterior la familia representa también un soporte integral, no obstante, refirieron aspectos que afectan la relación, como el poco tiempo para compartir con sus progenitores, especialmente, relacionado con los compromisos laborales y la limitación de los espacios para el diálogo. De otra parte, los padres manifestaron que para sus hijos la familia significa una red de apoyo social en sus diferentes experiencias de vida, aunque reconocieron, que es posible que algunas características propias del ciclo vital en que se encuentran los jóvenes estén incidiendo en la estructura y los patrones de relación familiar establecidos. Igualmente, se identificó un mayor reconocimiento por parte de los hijos hacia la figura materna, como red de apoyo social.

  Textual typology and objective. This article aims to identify the family as a social support network and determine its influence on a group of university students.Methodology. It is descriptive within a qualitative approach. The sample consisted of ten (10) parents and ten (10) young people who are starting their studies at the university, average ages from 16 to 19 years old.Results. The results point out to the configuration of good relationships between parents and children, although a difference in the perception of the children regarding the family as a social support network.Conclusions. According to this, the family also represents an integral support, nevertheless, they referred to aspects that affect the relationship such as the short time to share with their parents, especially related to the occupations and the imitation of spaces for dialogue. On the other hand, the parents stated that for their children the family means a network of social support in their different life experiences, although they recognized that it is possible that some characteristics of the life cycle in which young people are, are affecting the structure and the family relationship patterns. Likewise, a greater recognition by the children towards the maternal figure was identified as a social support network.
