Resumen de La cultura catalana a l'era digital: Una nova mirada sobre els reptes culturals

The objective of this article is, first of all, to point out some of the most important handicaps which affect specialized research and which can come to distort the view of Catalan culture in the digital era. Scientific reflection implies an attitude of skepticism and suspicion which permit the researcher to go beyond superficial and cliched readings and which, above all, help to break with a series of deeply-rooted taboos which distort one¿s view of reality. In the second place, this paper analyzes the current situation in the film and television sector in Catalonia and evaluates the most important challenges, from the point of view of Catalan culture, which are raised by the digitalization of content, technological convergence and concentration of communication companies in the hands of the few.
