This article analyzes the economic and technological challenges facing the Catalan culture from a double perspective. One the one hand, it examines the Information and Communication Technologies as the motor of the digitalized economy, transforming products content) and processes, and breaking with the classical paradigms of space and time. The second hypothesis that Identity, culture and language are transmittable contents for the cultural industries and that these are affected by digitalization. To this purpose, the article analyzes the impact on the audiovisual sector, the media, publishing houses, music and multimedia.
