    El retorno del emigrante (y de su dinero), así como la incidencia de uno y de otro sobre el proceso de modernización de España, es temática que se halla en el centro del actual debate sobre las migraciones históricas españolas del siglo XX. Sobre todo las dirigidas a Europa (2.000.000 de emigrantes entre 1960 y 1973), pero también las relacionadas con el N. de África e Iberoamérica. El autor profundiza en los aspectos conceptuales, analiza el retorno en su doble dimensión demográfica y económica, y aporta una actualizada bibliografía. Todo ello como síntesis y anticipo de una investigación más amplia, en la cual trabaja actualmente.

    The return phenomenon of emigrants (and their money) and their influence on the process of modernization of Spain belongs to the actual debate about the Spanish historical migrations in the XXth c. Above all, those waves to Europe (2.000.000 of emigrates between 1960 and 1973), and also those ones related to the North of Africa and Latin America. The author delves into the most striking aspects, analyzes the return in its double demographiceconomical dimension, and adds an up-to-date bibliography. In addition, the contents above mentioned are a synthesis and an anticipation of a wider reserach work, in which the author works at present.
