  Hoy por hoy, es recurrente observar en la calle, en los buses, es decir en todas partes, a gente de distintas edades manipulando celulares, ya sea para enviar mensajes a través de whatsapp, para leer los posts en el facebook, para jugar, etc. El creciente avance tecnológico ha abierto interesantes nichos que posibilitan que las personas accedan a múltiples servicios desde la tranquilidad de los hogares. Todo se hace a través de un computador o de un dispositivo móvil conectado a internet, porque se han creado Apps que te permiten “ir” al banco y realizar transacciones de modo remoto, etc. El involucramiento desmedido con los dispositivos electrónicos se ha transformado en una adicción difícil de mantener bajo control, y ello está afectando ciertas funciones cognitivas básicas en ciertos grupos de estudiantes
