Este artigo tenciona refletir por meio de diálogos interdisciplinares a relação entre bio-lógica e biopoder via proximidade, tematização ou problematização do corpo no pensamento de Oyèrónkẹ́ Oyěwùmí e Michel Foucault. Oyěwùmí ao expor como gênero foi incorporado na sociedade Oyó-Iorubá pré-colonial, nos apresenta uma sociedade que não possuía antes da colonização o corpo e o gênero como categorias fundamentais e fontes de organização e hierarquia social. Anterior à infusão das categorias ocidentais, as hierarquias entre as pessoas iorubanas eram expressas pela senioridade, sempre relacional, mutável e transitória. Entretanto, no Ocidente o corpo organiza as relações e as hierarquias. De modo que a bio-lógica e o biopoder são mecanismos que espelham e reforçam tais hierarquias por meio da utilização do gênero, da raça e da classe, signos que incidem sobre os corpos no intuito de circunscrever lugares e gerir a vida e a morte.

This article intends reflect through interdisciplinary dialogues the relations between bio-logic and biopower via problematization of the body in the thought of Oyèrónkẹ́ Oyěwùmí and Michel Foucault. Oyěwùmí presents the way how gender was incorporated into Ọ̀yọ́-Yorùbá precolonial society, due to fact that such society did not assume prior to colonization body and gender as crucial categories and sources of organization and social hierarchy. Prior to the infusion of western categories, the hierarchies among the yorùbá people were expressed by seniority, always relational, mutable and transitory. However, in the West the body organizes the relations and hierarchies. The bio-logic and the biopower are mechanisms that mirror and reinforce such hierarchies through the use of gender, race and class, signs in the body, aiming at circumscribe places and settle life and death Keywords: vision, body, hierarchy, bio-logic, biopower.
