    Considered the recent appointment of the twenty-two European Prosecutors of the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO), recalled the milestones that led to the establishment of the European investigative body, this work intends to highlight both the numerous tasks still required for the EPPO to be able to actually enter into force and the reasons behind the doubts that, even today, remain on the effectiveness of the European Public Prosecutor.

    A fronte della recente nomina dei ventidue Procuratori europei per l'Ufficio del pubblico ministero europeo (EPPO), il contributo, rammentate le tappe fondamentali che hanno portato all'istituzione dell'organo inquirente europeo, si propone anzitutto di evidenziare i numerosi adempimenti ancora necessari perché l'EPPO possa realmente entrare in funzione e, in secondo luogo, di mettere in luce le ragioni per cui, ancora oggi, permangono dubbi in ordine all'effettività della Procura europea.
