    Considerar y preservar la arquitectura residencial moderna como patrimonio constituye posiblemente uno de los retos más difíciles de resolver por nuestra sociedad. La presente ponencia aborda el citado reto desde las conexiones entre arquitectura residencial y cine. Una extensa filmografía avala las enormes posibilidades que los espacios residenciales modernos ofrecen al cine. Ejemplo reconocidos son el de la Casa Ennis (F.LL. Wright, 1924), la Casa Malaparte (Adalberto Líbera; Curcio Malaparte, 1937) o la Casa del Dr. Curutchet (Le Corbusier, 1949-53), edificios residenciales de incuestionable valor arquitectónico y patrimonial, el cual se ve incrementado por la incursión del cine en sus espacios. Siguiendo los antecedentes, la ponencia presenta el trabajo desarrollado por el GIRAC (Grupo de Investigación Reconocida de Arquitectura y Cine de la Universidad de Valladolid) y la Valladolid Film Office (VAFO) con el objetivo de hacer compatible la conservación del patrimonio residencial moderno y su puesta en valor.

    One of the most difficult challenges for our society is probably to consider and preserve modern and contemporary residential architecture as heritage. This paper focuses on this challenge from the perspective of the relationship between residential architecture and cinema. There is an extensive filmography of the enormous possibilities that modern residential spaces offer to the world of cinema. The Ennis House (F.LL. Wright. 1924), the Malaparte House (Adalberto Libera; Curcio Malaparte, 1937) and the Dr. Curutchet House (Le Corbusier, 1949-53) are outstanding examples sense. All of them are residential buildings of important heritage value, which is increased when the cinema came into its spaces. Following the previous information, the paper presents the work developed by the GIRAC (Grupo de Investigación Reconocida de Arquitectura y Cine de la Universidad de Valladolid) and the Valladolid Film Office (VAFO) in order to make the funding of their conservation and their enhancement compatible
