    Las posibilidades clínico-terapéuticas de este tipo de alternativas biológicas están suponiendo un interés excepcional en la clase médica asistencial. Las diferentes patologías que responden a esta alternativa terapéutica son cada día mayores. No solo la patología digestiva es subsidiaria de esta terapia, sino patologías relacionadas con el ámbito inmunitario, alérgico, degenerativo, etc, tienen el campo abierto a la investigación. Son numerosas las posibilidades terapéuticas y las diferentes entidades nosológicas que se benefician de esta terapia, yendo las primeras desde la administración de lactobacilos hasta el trasplante fecal. El posicionamiento de las diferentes Sociedades Científicas, así como la publicación de Guías de práctica clínica nos conducen hacia la mejor forma de afrontar patología y abordaje terapéutico con estas terapias biológicas. El médico de familia debe estar actualizado en este nuevo enfoque terapéutico.

    The clinical-therapeutic possibilities of this type of biological alternatives are leading to an exception interest in the health care medical class. The different conditions that respond to this therapeutic alternative are increasing greater every day. It is not only the digestive diseases that are subsidiary of this therapy. Conditions related with the immune, allergic, degenerative, etc. setting also have the field open to research. The therapeutic possibilities and the different nosological entities that benefit from this therapy are numerous, these going from the administration of lactobacilli to fecal transplantation. The positioning of the different Scientific Societies, as well as the publication of the clinical practice guidelines, are leading us towards the best way of coping with the condition and the therapeutic approach with these biologic therapies. The family physician must be up to date regarding this new therapeutic approach.
