Resumen de Funciones y niveles de desempeño requeridos a estudiantes de Ingeniería Industrial según género y tipo de empresa

  El mercado laboral de los ingenieros industriales, exige realizar funciones claves con diferentes niveles de desempeño, por lo que la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo: Analizar las tareas profesionales realizadas por estudiantes de esta disciplina, durante sus estadías prácticas considerando tanto el género del estudiante como el tipo de empresa donde las realizaron. La información se recolectó al término de las estadías prácticas de 80 estudiantes mediante un cuestionario, obteniéndose lo siguiente: a) mayor desempeño de tareas con rol de ejecución y supervisión para estudiantes hombres, b) los roles de evaluación del funcionamiento del proceso e implementación de herramientas de mejora, no presentaron preferencias con el género, c) medir el funcionamiento del proceso, fue la función clave con menos tareas realizadas, d) mayor número de estudiantes en grandes empresas de capital extranjero, descuidando la oportunidad de aprovechar las estadías prácticas como estrategia de vinculación con empresas estatales o nacional.

  The job market of industrial engineers, demand to fulfill key functions with different levels of performance, so the present research had as objective: Analyze the professional tasks done by students of this discipline during their placement taking into consideration both the student’s gender and the type of company where they worked at. The information was gathered at the end of the placement of 80 students through a questionnaire, obtaining the following: a) higher tasks performance with execution and supervision role for male students, b) the evaluation roles of the process functioning and implementation of improvement tools did not show gender preference, c) to measure the process’ functioning, was the key function with less tasks performed, d) highest number of students in large companies of foreign resources, disregarding to take advantage of the internships as linkage strategies with state or national companies.
