    This paper seeks to address the question of whether the sociobiological explanatory pattern applies to ancient description of human behaviour, with respect to relationships o control and dependence in the societies of Sparta and Crete in the classical and Hellenistic periods.     Cette enquête vise à déterminer si le modèle explicatif sociobiologique s'applique aux descriptions anciennes du comportement humain, en ce qui concerne les relations de contrôle et de dépendance dans les sociétes de Sparte et de Créte, dans les périodes classique et hellénistique.
