Resumen de Champetúo: la lucha del imaginario delictivo por el capital simbólico en las raíces del Reggaetón

Se describe el proceso mediante el cual el Reggaetón abre el camino simbólico a la Champeta hacia su legitimación cultural por la vía del mercado, permitiendo la incorporación de imaginarios delictivos específicos, en el contexto de las luchas por la apropiación del capital simbólico. Se contrasta información a partir de entrevistas y observaciones etnográficas comparadas entre el año 1998 y el 2016 en Cartagena, utilizando como concepto unificador el de interjuego (enjeux, en francés). El artículo compara la Champeta con los géneros cubanos de finales del siglo XIX y primera mitad del siglo XX y muestra similitudes en el uso de interjuegos culturales, sexuales, de género, político y económicos que transforman sus formas musicales. Finalmente, se subrayan las tensiones entre el uso del morbo, el cuerpo femenino, el mercado y el gusto popular, con el objeto de aportar elementos disertativso sobre la música como herramienta de lo político.

It is described the process by which Reggaeton opens the symbolic path to Champeta towards its cultural legitimation through the market, allowing the incorporation of specific criminal imaginary, in the context of the struggles for the appropriation of symbolic capital. Information is contrasted from interviews and ethnographic observations compared between 1998 and 2016 in Cartagena, using intergames (enjeux, in French) as the unifying concept. The article compares Champeta with the Cuban genres of the late nineteenth century and first half of the twentieth century and shows similarities in the use of cultural, sexual, gender, political and economic intergames that transformed their musical forms. Finally, the tensions between the use of guilty curiosity, the female body, the market and popular taste are highlighted, with the aim of providing dissertative elements about music as a tool of politics.
