  Las propuestas artísticas creadas al margen de la estética occidental, representadas en este caso en la producción que vienen generando algunos artistas de procedencia indígena, permiten pensar su producción artística como un espacio de resistencia, un esfuerzopor liberar las mentes de estereotipos y reacciones mecánicas impuestas por las nociones e instituciones culturales, sociales, políticas éticas y estéticas dominantes.El arte indígena actual, sin renunciar a su identidad, reelabora mitos, símbolos y diseños para generar un estilo inspirado en sus tradiciones pero capaz de ser incluido dentro del contexto artístico contemporáneo.El arte indígena como objeto estético es capaz de dialogar con las prácticas artísticas que se desarrollan en el mundo globalizado, pues plantea actitudes de indisciplina frente a las construcciones culturales y racionales de la civilización euroamericana. Está llamadoentonces a redimensionarse en el contexto cultural global como movimiento artístico incluyente y contemporáneo que intenta romper las ideas predominantes para encontrar nuevos significados a la vida, trascender fronteras, desatar la imaginación, y liberar esos mundos intangibles, volátiles e inaprensibles que han permanecido en resistencia.

  The artistic proposals created outside the Western aesthetic, represented in this case in the production that some indigenous artists have been generating, allow us to think of their artistic production as a space of resistance, an effortby releasing the minds of stereotypes and mechanical reactions imposed by dominant cultural, social, ethical and aesthetic notions and institutions.Current indigenous art, without renouncing its identity, reworks myths, symbols and designs to generate a style inspired by its traditions but capable of being included within the contemporary artistic context.Indigenous art as an aesthetic object is able to dialogue with the artistic practices that are developed in the globalized world, because it poses attitudes of indiscipline in front of the cultural and rational constructions of the Euro-American civilization. It is calledthen to be re-dimensioned in the global cultural context as an inclusive and contemporary artistic movement that tries to break the prevailing ideas to find new meanings to life, transcend borders, unleash the imagination, and liberate those intangible, volatile and ungraspable worlds that have remained in resistance.
