    Para hacer la presentación del texto que vamos a reseñar, llevaremos a cabo la enumeración de algunas reflexiones teóricas sobre las posibilidades de ese objeto llamado 'discurso' y alrededor del cual se ha tratado de tejer una gran cantidad de representaciones bajo la forma de teorías. No siempre ha habido claridad en los textos que se ocupan del discurso; quedan lagunas y dudas que son importantes confrontar. Esta suerte de introducción nos ayudará a entender el valor y la pertinencia del libro arriba mencionado.

    El profesor Patrick Charaudeau en un artículo programático, plantea de manera interesante la problemática epistemológica de ese campo llamado 'análisis del discurso', ya que no siempre es fácil determinar variables propiamente discursivas tanto en la constitución como en la selección de su objeto de estudio. Podemos preguntarnos por el tipo de ejercicio epistemológico que la mayoría de analistas del discurso ha intentado llevar a cabo y sin ir muy lejos, la respuesta aún está en camino de configuración.

    In order to make the presentation of the text that we are going to review, we will carry out the enumeration of some theoretical reflections on the possibilities of that object called 'discourse' and around which we have tried to weave a large number of representations in the form of theories. There has not always been clarity in the texts dealing with discourse; there are gaps and doubts that are important to confront. This kind of introduction will help us understand the value and relevance of the book mentioned above.

    Professor Patrick Charaudeau in a programmatic article, interestingly poses the epistemological problematic of this field called 'discourse analysis', since it is not always easy to determine properly discursive variables both in the constitution and in the selection of its object of study. We can ask ourselves about the type of epistemological exercise that most discourse analysts have tried to carry out and without going very far, the answer is still on the way to configuration.
