    La Inspección de Educación de Andalucía. Origen, desarrollo e intervención en los centros, es un libro cuyo autor, Joaquín Oliver Pozo, al dejar, hace unos años, la Inspección General de Educación de Andalucía, sintió la necesidad de cerrar esa etapa de diecisiete años de vida profesional con una reflexión que incluyera tanto el relato como las razones o fundamentos de las vivencias, decisiones y medidas que se habían ido adoptando, durante ese tiempo, en la ordenación y construcción de la Inspección de Educación de Andalucía que llega hasta la actualidad.

    Los motivos que han movido al autor, siendo diversos, están centrados en torno a un sentimiento: el reconocimiento y la gratitud a toda la Inspección de Andalucía que, durante estos años, ha participado y se ha implicado, con sus aportaciones y con sus críticas, en la nueva ordenación de la Inspección. Devolver la reflexión sobre los resultados de ese trabajo colaborativo ha sido una de las razones para escribir este libro. Consideraba que era necesario analizar e informar de los profundos cambios que, a partir del comienzo de los años noventa del pasado siglo, se han ido produciendo en la Inspección de Andalucía;

    cambios dirigidos a definir su espacio profesional y técnico, y a fortalecerla como factor de calidad en la educación

    The Inspection of Education in Andalucía: origin, development and its role in schools is a book published by Joaquín Oliver Pozo when he left the General Inspection Service of Education in Andalucía some years ago.

    It reflects the feeling the author had when he finished a seventeen year period of professional career. The book deals with his reflection on both the story and the reasons which led to his experiences, decisions, and measures adopted during that time related to the organisation and improvement of the Inspection of Education in Andalucía. These ideas have become the pillars of the current Inspection Service in Andalucía The reasons that have led to the author writing this book are diverse, however they are specifically focused around a feeling of recognition and gratitude to the entire Inspection Sector in Andalucía Everyone involved in the process has participated a great deal by making suggestions and criticisms throughout his time working for the Inspection Service, all of which helped him to carry out the development at this new organisation. One of the main reasons for writing this book was to show the result following this cooperation. He considered that it was neccesary to analyse and inform in depth the changes that have been taking place from that time (the early ninetees) in the Inspection sector in Andalucía;

    changes which have encouraged the Service to its professional and technical position and to strengthen itself as an element of quality in education.
