Futuras reformas de la Ley 20/2011, 21 julio, de Registro Civil

    Actualmente se encuentran en trámite parlamentario sustanciales reformas del sistema registral del estado civil de las personas modificando el Código Civil y la Ley 20/2011, entre otras leyes, para otorgar competencias a Notarios y Secretarios de Ayuntamiento para la tramitación y autorización del expediente previo a la celebración de matrimonios civiles; convertir a los centros sanitarios en «ventanilla única» de la oficina del Registro Civil; introducir en el ordenamiento jurídico un nuevo modo de determinación de la filiación paterna no matrimonial con grave quiebra de la seguridad jurídica; así como la tramitación electrónica de los expedientes de adquisición de nacionalidad por residencia y carta de naturaleza.     Currently, substantial reforms of the registration system concerning the civil status of natural persons have entered the parliamentary procedure. The Civil Code and Act 20/2011 have been modified, amongst others, to empower Notaries Public and City Council Secretaries to process and authorize the requested proceedings to celebrate a civil marriage, turn health centers into a “one-stop register” of the Civil Register, introduce new provisions in the national legal system concerning paternal filiation out of wedlock (thereby generating great legal uncertainty), and process electronically the acquisition of Spanish citizenship due to permanent residence or naturalization. Future reforms have been announced.
