ResumenDesde comienzo de la década del 80, el Teatro Itinerante del Sol se ha convertido en uno de los referentes esenciales del teatro colombiano. No se trata solamente de una "compañía" convencional para la realización de espectáculos escénicos, sino de una experiencia vivencial en la que intérpretes y espectadores se sumergen en una comunión donde se combinan la búsqueda de las raíces esenciales de las culturas aborìgenes de América Latina, con las mejores tradiciones del teatro, tanto de Oriente como de Occidente. El autor analiza las conexiones entre el grupo liderado por Beatriz Camargo y los fundamentos comunes de lo que se ha dado a llamar la "antropología teatral".

Since the beginning of the 1980s, the Travelling Theater of the Sun has become one of the benchmarks of Colombian theater. It is not only a standard troupe that carries out stage shows, but a life experience "company" in which performers and spectators are immersed in a communion, where the search for the essential roots of the indigenous cultures of Latin America is combined with the best traditions of theater, both Eastern and Western. The author analyzes the connections between the troupe, led by Beatriz Camargo, and the common foundations of what has been called "theater anthropology".
