  • Resumen
    • Identification of the causes of absenteeism due to disabilities was carried out in workers of agrochemical plants in the Cartagena de indias district in Colombia. The present study is descriptive and cross-sectional between January 2016 to September 2016, the sample corresponds to 346 operating workers from companies where their occupational health and safety databases were consulted. Descriptive statistics were made for the variables associated with working conditions and disability; as well as Chi-square tests to establish relationships of the different variables with work disability and the number of days of disability. The results indicate that there is an association between work disability and gender, with women presenting the highest percentage of disability; while, for the days of incapacity, it is observed that the accidents at work, the incapacities caused by burns and for ages over 50 years, are those that present the greatest days of incapacity.
