    ¿Existía la violencia infantil en el Egipto antiguo? La respuesta más evidente es probablemente que sí. Sin embargo, hay dos problemas a la hora de abordar este tema. Primero, la escasa información y evidencias que hay acerca de esta cuestión y segundo, la problemática que presenta el hecho de lo que nosotros llamamos violencia infantil, probablemente en el Egipto antiguo no lo era. Por lo tanto, mediante fuentes textuales, iconográficas y arqueológicas se analizarán diferentes documentos que presentan posibles casos de violencia infantil y se pondrá en cuestión si en verdad lo era

    Did child abuse really exist in ancient Egypt? There are two possible issues to consider in order to answer this question.

    On the one hand, there is barely any information about these cases in the Egyptian sources. On the other hand, it is not appropriate to use a modern term to make reference to issues of an ancient culture. In fact, the ancient cultures, and above all the Egyptian one, could have a different point of view about life and children. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze different examples of child abuse by examining the literary, iconographic and archaeological sources.
