    En el siglo XIV, Maimónides escribió una GUÍA PARA PERPLEJOS. A estas alturas del siglo XXI, la ignorancia, falta de aplicación o descuido de los derechos humanos, que tenemos precisamente por serlo, nos lleva a la perplejidad. El bosque de los derechos humanos se hace oscuro y excesivo. Por eso mantiene la tesis, inauditamente simple, de que la sustancia que alimenta las raíces de eso que llamamos derechos humanos es la solidaridad, como de la felicidad es el amor, y no la abundancia, la utilidad, la riqueza. La inhumanidad es olvidarnos del ‘otro’. No hay nada que dibuje mejor los perfiles de los DD HH: ni instituciones, ni cátedras, ni políticas. La norma universal.

    In the 14th century, Maimonides wrote a GUIDE FOR THE PERPLEXED. At this point in the 21st century, ignorance, neglect or lack of application of human rights lead us to perplexity. This is why he maintains his unprecedently simple statement that the substance that feeds the roots of what we call human rights is solidarity, just as happinessis love and not abundance, utility, wealth.

    Inhumanity is forgetting about the “other”. There is not nothing that determines shapes the borders of human rights: neither institutions, nor academic chairs, nor policies. The universal norm.
