Resumen de El potencial de las energías renovables en México y las tecnologías para su aprovechamiento

  En México se cuenta con un gran potencial de recursos para generar energías renovables. En 2018 se alcanzó a generar el 24.12 por ciento de energía limpia, sin embargo, en 2019 el gobierno mexicano no incentivó ni invirtió en el aprovechamiento de estas energías del futuro. A pesar de este escenario, queremos ser optimistas y proyectar que 2020 será el año de las energías limpias en México. No debemos cometer el error de solo apostarle a las tecnologías para el aprovechamiento del sol y dejar de lado las demás. Debemos ir más allá e innovar construyendo híbridos, aprovechando todos los recursos del lugar. México tiene ríos de gran caudal y estamos desaprovechando la energía hidrocinética que genera el agua. El potencial de energías que se tienen, tecnologías híbridas, casos de éxito con el uso de energías renovables y la importancia de generar energía hidrocinética a través de los ríos, serán temas de este artículo.

  There is a great potential for resources to generate renewable energy in Mexico. In 2018, 24.12 percent of clean energy was generated, however, in 2019 the Mexican government did not incentivize or invest in the use of these energies for the future. Despite this scenario, we want to be optimistic, and project that 2020 will be a better year for clean energy in Mexico. We must not make the mistake of only betting on solar technologies and leaving aside others. We must go further and innovate by building hybrids, taking advantage of all the local resources. Mexico has high flow rivers and we are wasting the hydrokinetic energy generated by water. The potential of different types of energy, hybrid technologies, success stories about the use of renewable energies and the importance of generating hydrokinetic energy through rivers, will be topics of this article.
