    Artículo centrado en la investigación realizada sobre la literatura espiritual del siglo XVII español. El objetivo era estudiar este campo cultural, que tuvo repercusión en la sociedad de esta época. En este tiempo la religión estaba muy presente en la vida cotidiana y ejerció una destacada influencia en la mentalidad social. Debido a ello, hubo un importante número de obras sobre este tema, así como una destacada demanda. Con este trabajo se ha podido observar que la literatura espiritual, en la España de este siglo, no se encontraba en decadencia, como han planteado algunos historiadores. Aunque cada vez se está realizando más estudios, es necesario seguir investigando, para conocer mejor la influencia que ejercieron estas obras religiosas sobre la sociedad y la cultura barroca.

    An article focused on the research carried out on the spiritual literature of the Spanish seventeenth century. The objective was to study this cultural field, which had an impact on society during that period. At that time religion was very present in everyday life and exerted a prominent influence on social mentality. Due to this, there was a significant number of literary works on this subject, as well as a prominent demand. With this work it has been possible to observe that spiritual literature, in the Spain of the seventeenth century, was not in decline, as some historians have argued. Although more and more studies are being carried out, it necessary to continue researching to better understand the influence that these religious works exerted on Baroque society and culture
