Sor Juana crítica: su crisis. Ética demostrada según el orden teológico.

    Publicada en 1690 como “Carta Atenagórica” y aclamada en 1692 por quienes fueron los lectores y censores del Segundo volumen de su obra, la Crisis de sor Juana Inés de la Cruz (1648/1651-1695) constituye no sólo un texto fundamental para articular las conflictivas derivas de su vida y su obra en el contexto novohispano de fines del siglo XVII, pues fue –entre otros– el motivo de la famosa Respuesta a sor Filotea de la Cruz (1691) y el origen discreto de su “Protesta” (1694), donde renueva sus votos pero renuncia a los estudios humanos (1694); sino una pieza central en dicho entramado dados el tema, el tono y la intención reflexiva que guían el escrito, distinguiéndolo –inseparablemente– del resto de su obra literaria. En este sentido, y a la luz del desigual interés de la crítica por dicho texto, el siguiente artículo se propone explicitar, demostrar y analizar la “tesis” de sor Juana sobre la mayor fineza de Cristo, así como situarla no sólo en el contexto de su obra literaria sino de su tiempo histórico, a fin de vislumbrar el alcance crítico y la relevancia éticade dicha “proposición”.

    Published in 1690 as “Carta Atenagórica” and acclaimed in 1692 by its readers and censors of the Second Volume of her work, the Crisis of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz (1648-1695) is an essential text to understand the difficult drifts of her life and work in the novohispanic context of late XVII century, as it was one reason –among others– for the famous Respuesta to sor Filotea de la Cruz (1691) and the discrete origin of her Protesta (1694), where she renews her vows but renounces to humanist studies (1694). But it is also an important piece in this context considering its subject, tone and reflexive intentions which emphasize its differences from the rest of her literary work. Considering the unequal attention given by critics to this text, this article aims to define, demonstrate and analyze sor Juana‟s thesis on the greatest fineza‟s of Christ, and also to analyze its literary and historical conext to ellucidate the critical scope and ethical relevance of its “proposition”
